Sol Emergence was built by two people who believe that healing is communal, that movement is medicine, and that the most sacred thing we can do is show up — fully — for one another.
In 15 years of using dance as a healing modality, Scott Houston has come to believe in the inherent wisdom of the body and the power of sound to move it. Together with his wife and co-founder Maya Lemberg, he has built Sol Emergence into Atlanta's home for conscious movement, deep listening, and intentional community — rooted equally in their shared vision and their life together.
A classically trained musician and trumpet player of 35+ years, accredited 5Rhythms teacher, and devoted husband and father, Scott brings a rare depth of musical range to everything he holds. As Co-Founder and Resident DJ of Sol Dance, he masterfully weaves a dancefloor from stillness to climax and all the way back into the deepest states of bliss and contemplation — making him one of Atlanta's most sought-after sonic curators for intentional movement spaces.
As an Atlanta-based artist and DJ, Scott is known for his collaborative mindset and appearances at regional festivals, local events, and gatherings throughout the city — including his residency with underground music collective Project B. He has shared the floor with Acid Pauli, Mihigh, Viken Arman, and others, and joined Tambor Party and Stan Zeff on Afro-House adventures in Atlanta and Egypt. Through collaborative work with Reciprocity Music, he has performed alongside Porangui, Liquid Bloom, Deya Dova, and Savej at Sol Dance in Atlanta.
Scott is also co-founder of Bespoke House — a community-driven theme camp and creative collective rooted in Burning Man principles and connected to the broader Sol Emergence ecosystem. Part burn camp, part chosen-family network, Bespoke House creates immersive environments at regional burns and festivals where people gather, contribute, create, and experience genuine belonging. It serves as a living bridge between conscious movement culture, festival culture, and transformational community spaces.
Scott's burgeoning artist identity ase lives at the intersection of ambient and genre-less electronic music, deep house, sacred acoustics, and Afrodiasporic and shamanic traditions — and is the foundation of Sol Emergence's Listening Labs program.

Maya's mission is to help people feel at home within their own skin. With 20 years of experience in the healing arts, she creates sacred, safe spaces for groups and individuals to drop into themselves — to feel, to heal, and to live their soul's most authentic truth.
A Licensed Professional Counselor and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, Maya is also trained as a yoga teacher and a priestess. Her trauma-informed facilitation weaves mind, heart, body, and spirit into a deeply integrated approach to wellbeing — drawing from somatic psychotherapy, dance-movement practices, expressive-arts therapy, yoga, energy medicine, shamanism, and Earth-based spirituality.
At Sol Dance, Maya leads the opening and closing circle, holds ceremonial group rituals, and sets the tone for the container — bringing groundedness, care, and ceremonial precision to every gathering. As a priestess, she channels Divine Mother for guidance, protection, and healing, helping the community ground spirituality into embodied wisdom.
Maya will soon be bringing HEALING CIRCLES to the Sol Emergence ecosystem — intimate group spaces for emotional processing and collective care, held with her signature blend of somatic wisdom and ceremonial presence.

Together, Scott and Maya have spent years building the kind of community that most people quietly long for — a place where you can arrive exactly as you are, move freely, be witnessed, and leave more yourself than when you came in.
Sol Emergence is that place.
